🎯 12-Hour Darts Marathon for Macmillan Cancer Support: Throwing for Hope 🎯 live video stream for all to watch and give us support - Will be live for all to watch and we will be using Scolia which is a digital darts scoring system that uses cameras and a processing unit to calculate scores in real time.
On Sunday 22nd December I’ll be stepping up to the oche for a 12-hour darts marathon with a very good friend of mine Neil Birken, not just as a challenge, but as a tribute to those we’ve lost to cancer and for the loved ones still battling.
We would like to help with raising a few funds for Prostate Cancer. Neil Birkin - one of the players taking part in the challenge was diagnosed with prostate cancer 7 years ago. He went on to have brachytherapy and hormone treatment as part of the battle against this awful disease. Rob Sweeney is a friend of Neil's and a dart player who also would love to raise a little money to help with the prostate cancer fund raising drive. Together, Neil and Rob will be attempting the 100,000 points challenge on the 22nd of December. Do something amazing this Christmas and donate a little money to the fund. The aim? To reach 100,000 points within those 12 hours – but more than that, to raise critical funds for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Cancer touches us all, whether through family, friends, or personal battles. Too many of us know the pain of saying goodbye too soon. Macmillan provides a lifeline to those facing this fight, offering not only medical support but compassion, strength, and hope in the darkest of times.
This challenge is for them – for the mothers, fathers, friends, and family members we miss dearly, and for those still fighting who need our help. Your donations will fuel this effort, with every penny going to ensure that no one faces cancer alone.
Let’s turn every dart thrown into a step toward hope. Whether it’s £1 or £100, every contribution makes a real impact. Together, we can help Macmillan continue their life-changing work and be there for those who need it most.
Please consider donating, sharing, or even just cheering us on from afar. Every bit helps.
